In the autumn of 2015, a violent act on a Philadelphia street led to the tragic death of Miles Wilson, a 50-year-old Black male from Newcastle, Delaware. On the afternoon of Monday, September 21st, Wilson was on the 2000 block of West Cambria Street when he was shot. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
Following the incident, at approximately 3:35 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to Temple University Hospital where Wilson was receiving emergency
medical treatment for his gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Miles Wilson succumbed to his injuries three days later, on Thursday, September 24, 2015.
The investigation into the death of Miles Wilson is ongoing. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with his murder, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to appeal to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in this unsolved case. Detectives are urging anyone with knowledge of the events that transpired on that September afternoon to come forward and assist in bringing those responsible for Wilson's death to justice.
