Richard Barrett, a 43-year-old man, was killed in Philadelphia on September 13, 2016, in a shooting that unfolded around 7:36 p.m. at 580 Hoffman Street. Police were called to the area for a report of a person with a gun, and when officers arrived they found Barrett suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and torso. He was taken from the scene to a hospital, but he died a short time later.
