Cejay Jones, a 19-year-old, was fatally shot on December 27, 2016, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred in the Larimer neighborhood on Shetland Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Pittsburgh's ShotSpotter system, which detects gunshots, also picked up the sounds from the scene, prompting police to respond. Upon arrival, officers found Cejay had sustained fatal injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
