On February 3, 2024, a tragic incident occurred during a baby shower at the Salvation Army's Pittsburgh Westside Worship and Service Center in the Fairywood neighborhood of Pittsburgh. At approximately 6:15 p.m., gunfire erupted inside the men's restroom of the facility, where six to seven shots were reportedly fired. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the deceased as 19-year-old Antoine Elijah Devon Dorsey, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
