On September 8, 1983, Joseph Jaha, a 56-year-old co-owner of the Sea Sands Seafood Market in Portland, Oregon, was shot and killed during a robbery at his store. At approximately 9:30 a.m., two masked men entered the market, armed with handguns, and demanded money from Jaha and his brother.
