Winston Dewayne Marsh, a 29-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on May 9, 2011. The incident occurred in the Southwest Birmingham area, where Marsh was shot in the leg. Following the shooting, Marsh managed to run into a Shell gas station located on Lomb Avenue Southwest, where he collapsed behind the bulletproof glass at the cashier's station.
