Do you know who murdered Bernice? In the winter of 1977, the life of Bernice Kuhl, a Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On January 15th of that year, her body was discovered beneath a bridge in Polecat Creek, near 10300 S. 33rd W. Avenue. An investigation determined that she had been strangled, and her death was officially classified as a homicide.
The evening before her body was found, Bernice had been out with several people, visiting a few local establishments, including the Holiday Inn at
110 N. Garnett, the Sage Door Club, and Torchee's Nashville Club. The last known sighting of her vehicle was around 1 a.m. on January 15th, when it was seen being driven westbound on East 31st Street near Mingo. A witness described the driver as a white male in his 20s with average-length dark hair.
Two days later, on January 17th, Bernice's car was found abandoned in a parking lot at the Marina Apartments on 96th East Avenue. Despite the discovery of her car and an ongoing investigation into her murder, the case has remained unsolved for decades. No arrests have ever been made, and no specific suspects have been publicly identified in connection with her death. Authorities have continued to seek information from the public in the hopes of one day bringing closure to this cold case.
