On January 15, 1977, the body of Bernice Kuhlman was found in Polecat Creek, located below a bridge near 10300 S. 33rd W. Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had been strangled, and her death was classified as a homicide. Bernice had been out with several people the night before, visiting establishments like the Holiday Inn at 110 N.
