On May 7, 1977, William McLinden, a 55-year-old man, was found dead in Ludlow Alley, located south of Maple in Columbus, Ohio. McLinden had been shot multiple times, with 4 to 5 small-caliber wounds discovered on the right side of his body. The Columbus Police Department responded to the scene, and his death was classified as a homicide. However, despite an investigation by law enforcement, no suspects were publicly identified, and the case remains unsolved.
