Gerald Yancy Scott, a 38-year-old African American male from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on February 6, 2020. He was one of two men found shot to death in an East Columbus home on Brice Road. The incident occurred following a dispute, and the suspect, 21-year-old Tylan Gilmore-Smith, was later arraigned for murder. Gilmore-Smith reportedly told police, 'It was either them or me,' after being questioned about the shooting. Bail was set at $1 million for Gilmore-Smith.
