Lawrence Smith III, a 62-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on May 29, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. He was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 2100 block of Hamilton Avenue just before 7:00 a.m. Despite the efforts of Columbus Fire EMS, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:11 a.m. The incident was reported as a homicide, and the Columbus Police Department has been actively investigating the case.
