William Gibbs, aged 46, was found dead on December 19, 1980, in Columbus, Ohio. His body was discovered in his apartment located at 680 Woodrow Avenue, where he had sustained a fatal knife wound. The circumstances of his death were treated as a homicide, but despite investigation efforts by the Columbus Police Department, no arrests were made, and the case remains unsolved.
