On December 28, 2020, 17-year-old Donnell Freeman, a Black male, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred in the parking lot of an Exxon Station located in the 2000 block of East Livingston Avenue. When Columbus police arrived at the scene, they found Freeman and another victim, 20-year-old Finesse Robinson, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to Grant Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.
The police investigation revealed that Freeman and Robinson were involved in a gunfight with a third party, who fled the scene in a white Jeep. Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The Columbus Police Department has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
As of now, the case remains unsolved, and the Columbus Police Department's Homicide Cold Case Unit continues to seek justice for Freeman and Robinson. The community and their families are hopeful that new information will emerge to bring closure to this tragic event.
