On September 16, 2024, Cordell Tatney, a 28-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot while visiting a friend's apartment located on Cleveland Avenue. The incident occurred in the afternoon, around 2:45 PM, during which Tatney was reportedly involved in an ongoing dispute with Deontae Daniel, a 25-year-old man who has since been charged with murder in connection with the case.
