Marquise Antwaun Lanier, a 23-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on May 8, 2019, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 2:25 a.m. when Columbus Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 807 Fairwood Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Lanier inside a parked vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Grant Medical Center in extremely critical condition, but despite medical efforts, Lanier succumbed to his injuries at approximate ...
