On the evening of November 22, 2019, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Columbus Police officers responded to reports of a shooting near Shady Lane Elementary School, located at 1444 Shady Lane Road in Columbus, Ohio. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Brenden Martae Brown, a Black male, inside a crashed vehicle. He was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel from Columbus Fire Department Engine 4 arrived at the scene and pronounced Brenden deceased at 8:16 p.m. ...
