Richard, struck by several bullets, attempted to drive away but crashed his car about a half-block from where the shooting occurred.
The two individuals seen near the car fled into a nearby apartment building immediately after the gunshots. The police officer who had been in the area responded to the crash and found Richard inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
