On March 24, 2008, Timothy Stone, 33, was one of four victims found murdered in a top-floor apartment at the Tree Top Apartments on High Meadow Lane in Charlotte, North Carolina. Stone, along with Cherilyn Crawford, Andrew Babyak, and William Royster, was shot in a crime that shook the local community. Three of the victims were found in a bedroom, and one was in the bathroom. The crime went unsolved for over a decade until 2019, when Dominick Daise was arrested and charged with the murders after extensive investigations by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s cold case unit.
Although the arrest brought some closure, police believe that Daise did not act alone and are still seeking others who may have been involved in the brutal quadruple homicide.
