In the early hours of Monday, September 21, 2026, the life of 39-year-old Edward Avent was tragically cut short in Cleveland, Ohio. At approximately 1:26 a.m., the city's Shot Spotter system detected a single gunshot in the 7400 block of Elton Avenue, prompting an immediate police response. Officers from the Second District arrived at the scene to find Mr. Avent suffering from a gunshot wound.
