Detective Robert James Clark II, aged 36, was a dedicated officer with the Cleveland Police Department. On July 1, 1998, Detective Clark was fatally shot while attempting to arrest a suspect involved in a drug transaction. Alongside Vice Detectives Keith Haven and Ray Diaz, Clark pursued the suspect into a stairway at 10010 Madison Avenue.
