On May 13, 1981, a brutal act of violence unfolded within the walls of the Idaho State Penitentiary in Ada County, leading to the death of David Dale Jensen, a 23-year-old male inmate. At the time of his death, Jensen was serving a sentence for car theft. His life was cut short by a fellow prisoner, Thomas Eugene Creech, a man already serving time for multiple murders and who would come to be known as one of Idaho's most prolific serial killers.
