In the early morning hours of May 28, 2026, the life of 23-year-old Reyna Caceres, a woman of Dominican descent, was tragically cut short on a street in the University Heights neighborhood of the Bronx. Just after midnight, police responded to a 911 call near a playground on Aqueduct Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Caceres with a fatal gunshot wound to her left eye.
