In the early hours of a September morning in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, a tragedy unfolded within the hallway of an apartment building at the Pelham Parkway Houses. Responding to a call just after midnight, police discovered a grim scene on the fifth floor. Forty-one-year-old Kristina Jones had been shot in the neck.
