In the spring of 2017, the life of a 21-year-old aspiring model named Aaliyah Alder was tragically cut short in the Bronx, New York. On the evening of Monday, March 27th, Alder was found in the eighth-floor stairwell of the Forest Houses on Tinton Avenue, having sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene. Alder, a resident of Mott Haven, was a female of Black ethnicity.
