On April 27, 2015, 36-year-old Ana Isabel Charle, the director of the Project Renewal homeless shelter in the Bronx, New York, was tragically murdered. As she was walking to her car near the 108-bed facility around 6 p.m., she was confronted by 39-year-old West Spruill, a former resident of the shelter.
