On a bright Wednesday afternoon, the life of 24-year-old Ni'Kajha A.K. Johnson was tragically cut short in a brazen daylight shooting in East St. Louis, Illinois. On June 3, 2026, at approximately 1:12 p.m., Johnson was seated in her vehicle at a stop sign at the intersection of 25th Street and Ridge Avenue when she was fatally shot.
