Joan Stack, an 82-year-old white female, was found dead on August 31, 2014, in her home in Elmhurst, Illinois. Her death was part of a tragic murder-suicide orchestrated by her husband, Francis Stack, also 82. According to the DuPage County Coroner's office, Francis Stack fatally shot Joan Stack and their two adult children, Francis Stack Jr., 48, and Mary Stack, 57, before taking his own life. All four family members were found with gunshot wounds to the head.
