On March 20, 2022, 17-year-old Keiron Quamari Jones, a junior at James Hillhouse High School in New Haven, Connecticut, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 8:55 p.m. on Orchard Place, where officers found Jones with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital and succumbed to his injuries the following day.
