On August 24, 2008, Loren Hinkle, a 26-year-old man, was murdered in Buffalo, New York. Hinkle, along with his girlfriend Dhanika McDaniel, was found shot to death in a North Buffalo apartment on Sanders Road. The incident was particularly tragic as McDaniel's four-year-old son was present in the apartment at the time and may have witnessed the killings, adding an additional layer of trauma to the situation.
