In the early morning hours of May 3, 2026, the quiet of Manning, South Carolina, was broken by a fatal act of violence that claimed the life of 37-year-old George Ragin Jr. Deputies from the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Ashburn Inn on Alex Harvin Highway around 2:40 a.m. following reports of a shooting.
