In the summer of 2024, a domestic dispute at a motel in Manning, South Carolina, ended in the tragic death of 28-year-old Abram Bernardo Walker Jr. The Black male was found with a gunshot wound on the second-floor stairwell of the Quality Inn on Paxville Highway, just off Interstate 95. First responders were called to the scene on the night of July 2nd, where the Clarendon County Coroner's Office ultimately pronounced Walker deceased.
