On the late evening of May 11, 2026, the life of 33-year-old Isaiah Booker was tragically cut short in a barrage of gunfire in Pittsburgh's East Hills neighborhood. Just before 11 p.m., the sound of 32 gunshots echoed through the 2300 block of East Hills Drive, triggering three separate ShotSpotter alerts that brought Pittsburgh police officers to the scene.
As law enforcement was responding, a report came in that a man had been shot and was being transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle.
Officers intercepted the vehicle on its way to the hospital at the intersection of Penn and Homewood avenues. Inside, they found Isaiah Booker suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
