On July 18, 2020, Clarence Thomas IV, an 18-year-old African American male from Pittsburgh, PA, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in the Sheraden neighborhood. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when Pittsburgh police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 3000 block of Bergman Street. Upon arrival, they found Clarence Thomas IV pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was also shot in the arm and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
