College student goes for walk and is found dead in cornfield In August of 1985, Kristin O'Connell, a 20-year-old female college student from Minnesota, traveled to the small town of Ovid, New York, to visit a young man she had met during spring break in Florida. She arrived on August 12th for what should have been a pleasant visit before resuming her studies. However, the trip took a dark turn.
