In the pre-dawn hours of April 10, 2026, the life of 23-year-old Titus Thomas Jr. was tragically cut short in a hail of bullets in west Phoenix, Arizona. The fatal shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road. Phoenix police officers responded to calls of shots fired and discovered Thomas at the scene with a gunshot wound.
Despite the quick arrival of the Phoenix Fire Department, his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
The scene was described as chaotic, with multiple vehicles reportedly speeding away from the area immediately following the shooting. In the ensuing confusion, one of the fleeing vehicles lost control and crashed into a nearby home, adding another layer of turmoil to the tragic event. Authorities are still investigating the connection of this vehicle to the homicide.
