Tony Edward Dooms, a 59-year-old resident, was tragically killed on April 14, 2026, after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The Augusta County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at approximately 1:08 a.m. reporting that a person had been shot. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Dooms deceased inside his vehicle. Investigators later determined that Dooms had been involved in an argument with a male family member. During the dispute, the family member discharged a firearm into the vehicle that Dooms was driving, striking him multiple times.
