In the city of Syracuse, New York, 68-year-old Dwayne Frazier, a Black / African American male, tragically lost his life on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the victim of a senseless act of violence. He was reportedly sitting on a porch on Palmer Avenue in the city's south side when he was struck by gunfire. It was later determined by authorities that Frazier was not the intended target of the shooting.
The unfortunate incident was the result of a dispute between rival groups, and Frazier was
an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. His death, initially described in his obituary as unexpected, sent ripples of grief through his community, where he was remembered as a good man and a devoted father and grandfather.
