In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Portsmouth, Virginia, the life of 39-year-old Johnta Raeshawn Fields was tragically cut short. On April 5, 2026, police responded to calls of a shooting in the 2400 block of Chestnut Street. Upon arrival, they found Fields suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
