In the late hours of April 6, 2026, violence erupted at the Donnelly Homes complex on Southard Street in Trenton, New Jersey, leaving one man dead and two others wounded. Devante Taylor, a 31-year-old resident of Trenton, was shot multiple times in the incident which occurred around 11 p.m.
Emergency services rushed Taylor to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday evening.
The two other victims of the shooting, a 46-year-old and a 26-year-old, both also from Trenton, were hospitalized and listed in stable condition as of the following Friday.
The Mercer County Shooting Response Team is actively investigating the triple shooting. However, authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the case, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting that claimed Devante Taylor's life remains ongoing.
