In the early morning hours of July 19, 2014, the life of 23-year-old Jamer Jay Greenfield was tragically cut short on a street in Trenton, New Jersey. A Black male and lifelong resident of the city, Greenfield was a father of three who was educated in the local public school system. The incident unfolded around 5 a.m. in the 200 block of Rosemont Avenue, where Trenton police officers, drawn by the sound of gunshots, discovered a chaotic scene with a large group of people fleeing.
