An evening in Southeast Washington, D.C. turned tragic on Saturday, April 11, 2026, when 18-year-old Dereon Womack was fatally shot. The incident, which also left two other men injured, unfolded around 6:29 p.m. in the 3500 block of 22nd Street, Southeast.
