On the evening of March 14, 2026, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Chicago's North Park neighborhood, tragically ending the life of 17-year-old Sergio Agon Mejia. A native of Bucaramanga, Colombia, the young man was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle when the attack occurred. The incident unfolded at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of North Kimball Avenue, near Glenlake Avenue.
