On a day that began like any other, March 17, 2026, Marvin Dzib, a 28-year-old man, was going about his work. Known for his positive and easy-going nature, his presence was a bright spot for his co-workers at Denver Dustless, a floor installation business. Friends and colleagues described him as a faithful and generous person who could instantly improve their mood. He was on his way to pick up materials in Denver's Montbello neighborhood when a senseless act of violence cut his life short.

In what has been described as a road rage incident, a confrontation occurred around 11:43 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 42nd Avenue. The other driver, later identified as 44-year-old Levon Wedgeworth, allegedly maneuvered his Jeep Grand Cherokee to block Dzib's vehicle. Following a physical altercation in the street, the two men separated. It was then that Wedgeworth reportedly drew a firearm. Marvin Dzib, who was unarmed and had his hands raised in the air, was shot three times. He was found covered in blood by a distributor from a nearby business.

The investigation into the shooting moved swiftly. Surveillance footage from the area captured Wedgeworth's distinctive Jeep, which had chrome wheels, a bike rack, and a black license plate. This footage showed the initial confrontation and the subsequent shooting. The day after the fatal encounter, on March 18, police located and arrested Levon Wedgeworth near East 47th Avenue and Havana Street.

A search of Wedgeworth's vehicle uncovered significant evidence connecting him to the crime. Police found a shell casing that matched those recovered at the scene of the shooting, along with other firearms and ammunition. What appeared to be blood evidence was also discovered in the vehicle. Based on the evidence gathered, investigators believe Wedgeworth was the primary aggressor in the incident. He is currently being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, with formal charges to be determined by the Denver District Attorney's Office.
