On the evening of April 5, 2018, Andrew Jenicek, a 27-year-old man, was fatally shot in an Edgewater, Colorado, parking lot. He had just gotten out of his car to pick up dinner for his girlfriend from a restaurant near West 20th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. when he was attacked in what began as an attempted robbery.
