In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Tuskegee, Alabama, a sudden act of violence claimed the life of a 60-year-old man, Darrie Miles. The incident unfolded on March 17, 2026, on Bibb Street, where officers were dispatched following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Miles with a fatal gunshot wound to his back.
The Tuskegee Police Department launched an immediate investigation into the deadly shooting.
As detectives processed the scene and gathered information, a suspect was quickly identified in connection with the homicide. The investigation led officers to the home of Anthony Dorsy, where they executed a search warrant.
Following the search and further investigation, authorities developed probable cause to take Dorsy into custody. He was subsequently arrested and charged with the murder of Darrie Miles.
