On a tragic spring evening in Tuskegee, Alabama, the life of 39-year-old Jamie Collins, a Black male, was cut short by gunfire. On May 4, 2019, Collins was fatally shot in the 700 block of Warren Avenue in an incident that also claimed the life of 49-year-old Willie Long. Collins was a resident of Tuskegee and was remembered by friends and acquaintances for his vibrant personality and contributions to the community.
