On April 18, 2020, 30-year-old Antwan Whittaker was fatally shot in the 500 block of Pleasant Spring Drive in Tuskegee, Alabama. Following a two-day operation, the Tuskegee Police Department arrested two individuals in connection with his death. On April 23, 2020, 27-year-old Nicholas Echols, a resident of Tuskegee, was taken into custody and charged with murder.
