On April 22, 2022, at approximately 1 a.m., Tuskegee police responded to a call in the 2600 block of Martin L. King Highway. Upon arrival, officers discovered a silver Infiniti in a grassy area. Inside the vehicle, they found 28-year-old Brantley D. Ford, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, deceased in the driver's seat from an apparent gunshot wound. The incident was immediately treated as a homicide by the Tuskegee Police Department.
