On October 4, 2017, 54-year-old George Montgomery was found deceased in a yard in Tuskegee, Alabama, the victim of a fatal shooting. Montgomery was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others, often described as someone who would "give you the shirt off his back." He worked as a barber at the Tuskegee Veterans Affairs (VA) facility and was an alumnus of Aliceville High School.
