On the evening of February 24, 2026, 34-year-old Baffour Asare Gundona, a man from Alexandria, Virginia, was drawn into what police said was a planned meeting in the parking lot of Potomac Mills in Woodbridge. Just after 7 p.m., officers were called to the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Circle for reports of a shooting.
