In the late afternoon of Wednesday, February 25, 2026, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a park in the Little Woods neighborhood of New Orleans East. When police were called to the scene near the 8500 block of Fordham Court around 4:00 p.m., they discovered the body of 17-year-old Harlem Virgil.
